I know, I know, it's been -forever- but life's settled down enough that I could go back over Amberlight, find my rough notes for Crimson and start on the sequel. It'll be slow updating for a while as I've got yet another cross-country move to complete, but it's in the works again.

Author's Note: Every chapter will follow a different Origin's viewpoint in alphabetical order. Aeducan was first (as a Prince should be!), followed by this one, Brosca. Cousland is next, then Mahariel, Surana, and finally Tabris, then back to our dear Prince. The length of the story is already penned out, as is how each chapter flows into the next one. I do hope people enjoy this as much as I'm enjoying writing it.

Author's Note: Here it is, the last proper chapter in the story. A year in the making and it's finally complete. I know, I know, I can hear the "what!? But you say 12/13 in the title!" and don't fret, there is a final bit, but it's an epilogue, something to tie the first story in with the second.

The last few months have been one thing after another. From Mom having a heart-attack to Dad having an infection that ate through the bottom half of his foot, to the landlord evicting us because she lost her job ... to me now moving out to WA state again.

I haven't had a breather since the beginning of March, heh.

For those who are interested, yes, Amberlight will be finished. As soon as I'm in a place where I can write without real life taking over.

Author's Note: I hate this, I've turned into that fanfiction writer that I loathe. You know the one, that author who wrote that story that left you wanting to see it to the end and they just... didn't... finish it. They left it alone, and then after it was all said and done, they maybe tossed out an ending.

Argh. Well, ok, I lied. I was going to become that author, but kicked procrastination in the rear and typed out this chapter. Why did this chapter hurt? Because it didn't sound right. It didn't flow right. I still don't think it flowed right but I'm going to burn my computer and dance around the wreckage if I try to finangle this bit any more.

Three more chapters. Three chapters that, thank the writer's muse, are looking to flow so much smoothly in their final drafts. If anyone has stuck with me this long, I thank you very much. Without further ado, here we go.

Last night was the first session of my Werewolf: The Forsaken chronicle, titled Shards of the Master. I'm-a gonna talk about characters, and then put an LJ cut and talk about what I'm doing with the chronicle a bit. As such, any of my players who wander this way shouldn't click on the cut. :)

• Alexia Outrunner-of-Winds Edwards: A Storm Lord Cahalith and an all-around American girl. She was a rising star in the wushu style of atarashii naginata when her First Change came after a win on the mat. Her deed name comes from the flight away from the pack of Pure that either wanted to kill her or indoctrinate her. After a year trying to hold onto the last scraps of territory with her pack, the three of them fled to Denver to seek out assistance with the local Forsaken. Max Roman found use of Alexia's aunt (an Irraka) and the pack's Ithaeur but decided to place Alexia herself with a freshly-changed werewolf.
• Nathan West: An Iron Master Irraka, Nathan was a detective in a Hunter Cell in Philly before he changed into a silent stalker on a stakeout of a witness to ritualistic murders. Seeing as Nathan couldn't fight the monsters as a monster with them, he took the offer of a nomadic Iron Master's pack and went with them to Denver where Max Roman placed him in an enovy pack with Alexia.

The two don't exactly have a totem yet, as I think they're still in a wait-and-see mode. That works for me because it fits the totem hunt into the story (if they last long enough as a Pack to seek out a totem, heh)
